Genesis 1:26 (NIV)
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
People who do not believe in the creation can attempt explaining many things but can’t think of the reason for its existence; because, the purpose of any creation, is determined by its creator.
God created mankind, "in his image and likeness… to rule over the creation." The purpose of creating mankind is to rule over the creation like ‘God’. In other words, is to ensure ‘Kingdom of God’ on this creation.
In God’s Kingdom, there will be harmonious relationship between God, Man and Creation. There will be reverence for God, dignity for mankind and care for creation.
