Kingdom and Religion

Romans 14:17 (NIV)
For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit

When God reigns, there will be Justice, Mercy and Peace in the society. There will be respect for mankind, reverence for God and care for Creation.

But, when man reigns, there will be majestic places of worship, vibrant religious institutions, inspiring rituals, exciting programs and mammoth religious expansion.

In Kingdom, there will be only God and His people. In religion, there will be priests, buildings, Institutions and inspiring activities. Religion is organized in a human way, but in Kingdom is organized in God’s way. Kingdom of God is an expression of the Character of God while Religion is an expression of the Character of Man.

Finally, Kingdom of God is built only by God’s people, and not necessarily through the Religion.
